Prince Harry’s recent reunion with King Charles may have signalled progress in one royal relationship, but his rift with Prince William appears to remain as deep as ever.
According to PEOPLE, sources close to the royal family say there has been no improvement in the relationship between the brothers, who have reportedly had no contact despite both being in London on July 7, just 12 miles apart.
“It’s so broken,” one insider said, while another source familiar with both princes added, “I thought it would have perhaps eased a little bit by now, to be honest. But there has been no movement, especially on William’s side. There is no contact.”
The relationship between the brothers has been strained since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped back from royal duties in 2020. Tensions reportedly escalated further after Harry released his 2023 memoir, Spare, in which he shared personal details about life within the royal family.
During his latest visit to the U.K., Prince Harry reportedly had a long-awaited reunion with King Charles, alongside Meghan Markle and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
On the same day, Prince William attended his annual charity polo match in Windsor with Princess Kate, highlighting the continued distance between the two brothers despite Harry’s return to Britain.
