Veteran Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu has appealed for ₦30 million in financial assistance to undergo three urgent surgeries.
Nwosu made the emotional appeal in a video shared on her Instagram page on Thursday, showing her lying in a hospital bed.
The actress revealed that she had been hospitalised for three weeks and was experiencing severe pain.
“Please, the pain has gone beyond my control. I need your help. Don’t let me die,” she pleaded.
“I am begging my fans and family. I am going through a lot of pain. I have about three surgeries to undergo.”
In the accompanying message, Nwosu appealed to her fans, friends, colleagues and family members to support her treatment or share the post.
She disclosed that the three life-saving procedures would cost approximately ₦30 million.
The veteran actress did not reveal the nature of her illness or the hospital where she was receiving treatment.
Ngozi Nwosu previously battled kidney and heart-related health complications in 2012 and travelled to the United Kingdom for treatment after receiving support from the public and the Lagos State Government.
It remains unclear whether her present condition is connected to her previous health challenges.
