Kwara United have announced Sunday, 5 July 2026, as the official resumption date for all players ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
The Ilorin-based club disclosed this in a statement signed by Chairman Kumbi Titiloye, confirming that pre-season training will begin on Monday, 6 July.
According to the statement, all retained players, as well as newly recruited players identified by the club’s technical crew, are expected to report to camp on the scheduled date as preparations for the new campaign gather pace.
Titiloye stressed that prompt resumption was mandatory, adding that the club’s management remains committed to building a competitive squad capable of enjoying a successful season.
“We are determined to give the technical crew the best possible environment to prepare the team for the challenges of the new season,” the statement said.
The early start to pre-season follows a difficult 2025/26 campaign in which the Harmony Boys narrowly escaped relegation, securing their NPFL status on the final day.
The players are expected to undergo intensive fitness assessments and tactical drills during the opening phase of the programme as the coaching staff seek to strengthen the team’s overall performance ahead of the new season.
