2026 World Cup: ‎All three co-hosts eliminated from tournament

The three co-hosts of the 2026 World Cup have all been eliminated.

United States of America, Mexico and Canada did not go pass the Round of 16.

This was confirmed after America’s 4-1 humbling in the hands of Belgium on Tuesday morning.

‎The US exit completes a difficult tournament for the joint hosts, who had each reached the knockout stage on home soil but fell short of the quarter-finals.

‎Canada were the first to bow out, suffering a 3-0 defeat to Morocco last Saturday, thanks to Azzedine Ounahi’s brace and a late strike from Soufiane Rahimi sealed the result.

Mexico battled bravely against 10-man England, but ultimately lost 3-2, with Jude Bellingham’s double proving decisive.

‎The 2026 World Cup is the first to be jointly hosted by three nations, and the first held with an expanded 48-team format.
