Iran warns Israel will face retaliation if US continues strikes on key infrastructure
Iran has warned that Israel will be included in any future retaliation if the United States continues targeting Iranian infrastructure.
Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr, in a statement carried by Iranian state television, stated that Tehran would respond decisively to any further attacks on its critical facilities and accused Israel of playing a central role in the ongoing hostilities.
“As we have already announced, any attack on infrastructure will be retaliated against, and the criminal Zionist regime responsible for these atrocities will not be spared from the response of our fighters,” Zolghadr said.
The warning marks one of Tehran’s strongest threats against Israel since hostilities eased earlier this year and raises concerns that Israel could once again become a direct target if the confrontation between Iran and the United States continues to intensify.
The latest statement comes as the US-Iran memorandum of understanding appears increasingly fragile, with recent military exchanges fueling fears that the ceasefire achieved in April could collapse and reignite a wider conflict across the Middle East.
