Chef Amaka Opens Up On PCOS, Infertility Struggle After 6 Years Of Marriage

Chef Amaka, wife of popular health influencer and medical doctor Dr. Chinonso Egemba, better known as Aproko Doctor, has opened up about her painful battle with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and infertility after six years of marriage.

Speaking candidly about her journey, Chef Amaka revealed that she got married in June 2020 and stopped menstruating just three months later. A hospital visit confirmed she had PCOS, a hormonal disorder that can affect fertility.

She said the condition led to significant weight gain and changes in her body, leaving her with a broader upper frame that has made her the target of cruel online comments.

According to her, trolls have mocked her appearance, called her the “man of the house” and taunted her husband over their inability to have children. Some even accused her of physically intimidating him because she appears bigger than he does.

Chef Amaka admitted that one of her greatest pains is seeing her husband ridiculed over something beyond their control.

Her revelation has sparked an outpouring of support online, with many praising her courage and using the moment to raise awareness about PCOS and the emotional toll of infertility.
