Dangote Refinery: Fuel price update in Nigeria

The retail pump price of premium motor spirit has remained unchanged in parts of Nigeria after the Dangote Refinery resumed refined petroleum products dollar sales, crude oil prices resurge and ex-depot petrol rates rise by depot owners.

Checks by DAILY POST on Tuesday night showed that fuel prices in Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, Nigerian Independent Gas Company, AA Rano, MRS, Emedab, and other filling stations have remained flat between N1155 and N1205 per litre in abuja and environs.

This means that despite N30 to N90 ex-depot price increments, depot owners’ retail pump prices have remained unchanged as at the time of reporting.

DAILY POST reports that depot owners such as Ranoil, African Terminal, Pinnacle, Sahara, Integrated and others raised their ex-depot prices, respectively.

This comes after global crude oil prices surged amid heightened tension in the Strait of Hormuz.

Airstrikes between Iran and the United States-Israel escalated in the last four days, putting the Gulf region back on the conflict map.

The development had resulted in Iran’s restrictions on crude refined petroleum product exports.
