Nollywood actress Destiny Etiko has expressed regret after losing N5 million on her first-ever football bet during the 2026 FIFA World Cup final between Spain and Argentina.
The actress took to her official Instagram page shortly after the match ended on Sunday night to share her disappointment with her fans, revealing that the loss had left her shaken.
Etiko stated that the anxiety of watching the high-stakes match was overwhelming, declaring that she would never engage in sports betting or watch football again.
“First time betting and I lost. Will never try it again. My 5M is gone. In fact, I am done watching football. Anxiety almost killed me,” she wrote.
