Igala Community In Ajaokuta Steel Township Endorses Abdulraheem, Backs APC Ahead Of 2027

The Igala community in Ajaokuta Steel Township, Ajaokuta Local Government Area of Kogi State, has reaffirmed its support for the member representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem, and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The community, represented by members of its executive committee, led by Yakubu Ocheja, on Saturday in Adogo, headquarters of the local government area, passed a vote of confidence on the lawmaker, describing him as a worthy representative whose performance over the past three years has earned him widespread commendation.

The group attributed its endorsement to what it described as the federal law maker’s impactful representation and contributions to the development of the constituency.

The community also expressed support for the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, saying his policies and programmes have positively impacted the lives of the people. It maintained that the continuity of APC-led governments at all levels would further accelerate development and improve the well-being of residents.

Responding, Abdulraheem thanked the community for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to sustain his commitment to inclusive representation and people-oriented leadership.

He stressed the need for unity among all ethnic groups in Ajaokuta Federal Constituency, noting that development can only be achieved through peaceful coexistence and collective efforts, irrespective of tribal or linguistic differences.

The lawmaker assured members of the Igala community in Ajaokuta Steel Township that they would continue to benefit from government programmes as long as they remained committed to promoting peace and supporting development initiatives.

As part of the event, the community presented an Award of Excellence to Abdulraheem in recognition of what it described as his outstanding performance as a member of the 10th National Assembly over the past three years.

The group also presented campaign souvenirs in support of his political aspirations ahead of the 2027 elections.
