Tinubu explained that the expansion and rehabilitation of the roads would reduce travel time, ease traffic gridlocks, and create better conditions for businesses to grow in the area.

President Bola Tinubu has said that the road projects being carried out by his administration are helping to boost economic activities and improve the lives of Nigerians.

Tinubu made the statement on Monday during the commissioning of the rehabilitated and expanded roads from Karu Interchange to Customs Clinic Junction and other connecting roads in the Karu area of Abuja.

The projects are part of activities marking the third anniversary of his administration.

The President was represented at the event by Vice President Kashim Shettima.

Tinubu said the road project shows his administration’s commitment to reducing traffic congestion and improving the living conditions of residents.

According to him, the government had earlier commissioned a water supply project for Karu and nearby communities, and the new road project is another example of the Renewed Hope Agenda in action.

He noted that when his administration took office three years ago, it identified the need to bring development closer to where people live and work.

He said the Karu corridor, which serves as a major link between the Federal Capital Territory and neighbouring states, had long suffered from heavy traffic congestion that affected residents’ productivity and daily activities.

Tinubu explained that the expansion and rehabilitation of the roads would reduce travel time, ease traffic gridlocks, and create better conditions for businesses to grow in the area.

He added that the road network was designed with safety in mind and includes modern solar-powered streetlights to improve visibility and security for motorists, especially at night.
