NBA superstar LeBron James is scheduled to make two appearances at Fanatics Fest in New York this week, where attention is expected to focus on his uncertain future ahead of the 2026–27 season.
The 41-year-old, the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, has indicated he will not return to the Los Angeles Lakers but intends to play a 24th NBA season with another franchise.
According to reports, James’ agent, Rich Paul, has identified the Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers, Philadelphia 76ers and Golden State Warriors as the leading contenders for the veteran forward’s services.
James will record a live episode of his Mind the Game podcast on Thursday at the Javits Center, with Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton serving as co-host.
He is also scheduled to record an episode of his talk show, The Shop, on Friday. James attended the inaugural Fanatics Fest last year, where he discussed the popular series.
Speculation has grown that the four-time NBA champion could use the event to reveal his next destination, although no announcement has been confirmed.
Such a move would echo one of the most memorable moments of his career. In 2010, after leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers in free agency, James announced during ESPN’s televised special, The Decision, that he would join the Miami Heat.
He teamed up with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami, winning two NBA championships and leading the Heat to four consecutive NBA Finals as part of a run that saw him reach eight straight Finals appearances.
