ABUJA — Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has urged Nigerians to take advantage of the ongoing Permanent Voter Card (PVC) registration exercise by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The party said obtaining the PVC would enable citizens to participate actively in the electoral process and contribute to shaping the future of the country.
In a statement, NDC National Publicity Secretary, Barrister Osa Director, described the PVC as a key instrument through which Nigerians could exercise their democratic rights and influence governance through the ballot box.
Director, who spoke during the party’s PVC registration mobilisation exercise, urged Nigerians, particularly youths and first-time voters, not to miss the opportunity to register and obtain their voter cards.
He said meaningful change could only be achieved through active participation in the electoral process.
According to him, Nigerians must unite to build a new country where hope is restored, justice prevails, opportunities are expanded and good governance becomes the standard.
Director also encouraged citizens seeking positive change to participate fully in the 2027 elections, urging them to support leaders who share their vision for national transformation.
He reaffirmed the commitment of the NDC to promoting credible leadership, national unity, economic development, security and improved living standards for Nigerians.
“Your PVC is your voice. Your vote is your power. Register today and be part of the movement to build a better Nigeria,” he said.
