Nollywood actor Zubby Michael has voiced out his admiration for Nigerian singer Davido, regarding him as a great guy with a good heart.
While speaking during an interview, the actor described Davido as a kind-hearted person who genuinely wants those around him to succeed. He spoke about his personal encounter with him, revealing that he always gets excited to meet him unlike other celebrities.
“I love Davido so much. He’s a great guy. He has a good heart. I love people not by what they possess physically, but spiritually. OBO has a pure heart. He wants people around him to succeed, and that’s golden,” he said.
He disclosed that he ran up to the singer the first time they met, making videos and shouting ‘OBO’. Zubby added that his action stirred criticism from other people who felt he was bringing himself down with his reaction.
“People were like, ‘Are you mad? Don’t you know you’re a superstar? Why are you bringing yourself down?’ I told them, ‘Are you stupid? You’re not in any position to tell me how to react. I love the young man and I’m crazy about him,’” he added.
