Ojukwu explained that the compensation exercise is intended to cushion the impact of acquiring right-of-way corridors required for electricity transmission projects, which are considered critical to improving power supply and driving economic growth in the state.

He assured residents whose properties may be affected that the process would be transparent, fair and conducted in line with established procedures.

The commissioner reiterated that the Soludo administration remains committed to delivering critical infrastructure that will stimulate industrialisation and improve the quality of life of residents.

He added that the government would continue to ensure that individuals affected by public projects are duly recognised and compensated in accordance with the law.
