The Head of the Taraba State Civil Service, Dr Hamidu Ahmed Kara, has urged all casual workers across the state to apply for the ongoing recruitment exercise being conducted by the Taraba State Civil Service Commission (CSC).
The appeal comes after Governor Agbu Kefas approved the recruitment of 1,800 qualified applicants into the state civil service as part of efforts to strengthen the workforce.
Dr Kara made the call on Friday while receiving a delegation from the Ministry of Waste Management and Resource Innovation, led by the Commissioner, Bernard Shonze, during a courtesy visit to his office.
He commended the ministry’s leadership for its collaborative approach and encouraged it to ensure that all eligible casual staff take advantage of the recruitment exercise.
The Head of the Civil Service stressed that employment into the state civil service would strictly follow due process, emphasising that no applicant would be considered without submitting a formal application through the approved recruitment process.
Dr Kara also assured the delegation that he would carefully review the official memo presented by the commissioner and take prompt steps to address the administrative issues highlighted during the meeting.
Earlier, Shonze said the delegation visited the Office of the Head of the Civil Service to present operational challenges facing the ministry and seek guidance and intervention. He also praised Dr Kara for his open-door policy and commitment to ongoing civil service reforms in Taraba State.
The Taraba State Civil Service Commission is currently recruiting 1,800 qualified applicants following the executive approval granted by Governor Kefas to strengthen the state’s public service.
